Habima Theater
Habima, is the name of the National Theater of Israel, which performs its plays continuously, since its official establishment in 1917, first in Moscow and then in the Land of Israel. Habima was built at the northern end of Rothschild Boulevard and was officially inaugurated in 1946 with the aim of being the first building of the city’s cultural complex. The complex is today one of the impressive icons of Tel Aviv cultural scene, with the Charles Bronfmann Auditorium – home of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Eyal Ofer Pavillion for Contemporary Art. The complex houses the famous sculpture of Menashe Kadishman, Uprising, consisting of three steel circles and expressing a sense of movement and dynamism.
Rothschild Boulevard
The main boulevard in Tel Aviv, named after Baron Edmond James de Rothschild (1845-1934), an influential Zionist philanthropist and supporter. Rothschild Boulevard is one of the most beautiful and important boulevards of the city. It was and still is a vibrant cultural center of Tel Aviv and part of its business center. Many important sites are intertwined along it, such as the buildings in the Bauhaus and Eclectic architectural style, homes of the remarkable city’s leaders as well as the country’s leaders, who lived here and have been preserved over the years, one can also find old and new cultural institutions as well as important trade institutions . These historical buildings, together with other sites in the city, make up the “White City” – which is a common nickname for some of the old areas of Tel Aviv, where one can find over 4,000 buildings which are in the International Style of architecture (Bauhaus) and granted Tel-Aviv the title of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Today, Rothschild Boulevard is bustling with life day and night, with many offices, cafes and restaurants, shops and where trendy bars can be found along it.
Sarona Complex
The Sarona Complex, located near the Azrieli Towers, is becoming one of the central and beautiful entertainment, business, cultural, shopping and leisure centers of Tel Aviv-Jaffa. The complex is located within the remains of what was the Templer colony (German Templer Society), the fourth colony established by the German Templers in the Land of Israel during the second half of the 19th century. The Colony was an agricultural settlement, built in the classic form of villages in southern Germany. The site, which had been meticulously renovated over the past few years, presents the renovated Templers’ homes, some of them house at present, designers’ stores and well-known brands, together with restaurants and prestigious cafes.
Dizengoff Street
Dizengoff Street is one of the main and most important streets in Tel Aviv, named after the first mayor, Meir Dizengoff (1861-1936). The street was once an important cultural center known as the Israeli bohemians’ stronghold, thanks to the many prestigious fashion stores and cafes which became the permanent residence of many important cultural and intellectual personalities. Even today, as you have probably noticed, Dizengoff street is as alive and kicking as it was in the past.
You can find here many designer stores, bustling cafes, lively bars and well-known sites such as the Dizengoff Center, the Fire and Water Fountain at Dizengoff Square, the Beit Lessin Theater and more.

The Tel Aviv Cinematheque, the home of cinema in the Tel Aviv-Yafo metropolitan area, offers a quality entertainment experience with a rich program of approximately 1,500 films per year.
